The countdown to the Golden Globes is almost at its end! | Photo: NBC It feels like the last year just flew by, but award season is officially upon us–and it continues this weekend with the 2014 Golden Globes! I’m excited to see what nominees like Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Lawrence will wear, but, I’m pretty much eagerly awaiting all the glitz and glamour, and that includes confirmed presenters like Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone!
Enter: My annual wish list. This is the first one of the year for me, and I decided to do something a little different. Instead of my usual 3 suggestions, I’ve narrowed it down to one–although I’ve also included many more stars!

TINA FEY & AMY POEHLER
The dynamic duo is back! I can’t wait to watch the two host the ceremony again this year, but what could possibly top those fabulous looks from their last trip down the red carpet together? Hopefully Tina will play with a long length now, because then maybe this gorgeous Dennis Basso gown could be a contender.
I had a few dresses in mind for Amy, but kept coming back to this deep plum Naeem Khan design. The beaded cap sleeve bodice and draped front skirt really sold me on it; whether it’s for the arrival or doing the show, I’d like to see her wear it.
AMY ADAMS
After selecting such a soft ballet pink gown last year, I’m holding onto fashion hope that the “American Hustle” star will steal the show in a brighter shade this time around. I’ve been wanting to see her in an emerald green gown from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 Haute Couture collection, and this v-neck embellished dress is a favorite of mine. Think green, Amy!
SANDRA BULLOCK
As one of Sandra’s new favorite designers that she wears so well, it would be fun to see “The Gravity” star celebrate her Golden Globe nomination in a Alex Perry dress. This vibrant royal blue gown from his Resort 2014 collection would simply soar on the brunette beauty.
CATE BLANCHETT
This dove grey Alexis Mabille couture gown is sophisticated grace at its very best, and that’s why it’s my solid top choice for the “Blue Jasmine” actress. I’m completely in love with the crossover peek-a-boo neckline and pearl draped accents, which is why I’ve been holding onto this pick for months. Here’s to hoping a wish comes true!
JENNIFER LAWRENCE
I have included this gown on a wish list for Jennifer once before, and I might continue to do so until she wears it (or someone else does–eek!). I’ve been running cool on her latest Dior selections, but this Fall 2013 Haute Couture dress is on fire–and it’s the one I’ve been most adamant about her wearing. In fact, this is only dress from recent collections that I’ve truly wanted her to wear as it would embrace her curves, highlight her blonde pixie ‘do, and capture her energetic spirit.
ROBIN WRIGHT
Talk about a grand entrance! The “House of Cards” will be playing with a full fashion deck if she arrives to the ceremony in this show-stopping scarlet caped gown from Ralph Lauren. Robin would also have a chance to put her toned shoulders on display thanks to her cute cropped hairstyle.
LUPITA NYONG’O
As one of the nominees I’m most looking forward to seeing this weekend, I can’t deny that my expectations are very high for the “12 Years A Slave” nominee. I had one dress in mind for Lupita when I sat down to do this list, and one dress only–this insanely bold Prabal Gurung creation. She’s my number one rising star to watch this year, and I want to watch her rock this colorblock.
KERRY WASHINGTON
The “Scandal” nominee mama-to-be will be dressing to accommodate her growing belly this year, and while that means chances are high that she will be in custom, I also think Kerry could keep her stellar style track record intact while being the picture of comfort in this ethereal Oscar de la Renta cream gown.
The pièce de résistance is a layered embellished crop top that sits sit right above her waist.
SOFIA VERGARA
Despite how fierce she looks in them, let’s hope the “Modern Family” star keeps her mermaid train dresses home again this year. That being said, I would like to see Sofia in a vibrant color with a smooth silhouette that will showcase her famous curves, and I can’t help but picture her when I look at this exquisite Zuhair Murad gown.
JULIANNA MARGULIES
I’m truly shocked that so many award shows have come and gone, and I have yet to see this striking green Armani Privé gown show itself at any of them. Hopefully the “Good Wife” star, (who looks amazing in green, by the way) will bring it out of hiding!
TAYLOR SCHILLING
Orange may be the new black, but I’m thinking pink when it comes to this nominee. I could try and list all of the things I love about this pink ombré Roberto Cavalli gown, but it’s kind of rendered me speechless.
ALLISON WILLIAMS
I would love it if Allison honored her show “Girls” at the Globes once again this year by wearing a dress from a New York label–and that, combined with the fact that this red and black Carolina Herrera gown is a true knock-out, should be enough reason. This was one of the first dresses I selected for my list, so I’m really hoping to see it.
EMMA WATSON
Chances are high that “The Bling Ring” actress will stick by one of her usual go-to designers (and look beautiful, no doubt), but I can’t deny that I’d like to see her take a risk and channel her inner ‘Hollywood bad-girl’ once again with this black Azzaro gown featuring a sheer lace panel down one side.
HAYDEN PANETTIERE
Hayden tends to be at her red carpet best in strapless dresses because of her petite figure, so I hope she opts for that cut once again this year. However, the “Nashville” nominee needs a to wear either a really bright color or a rich jewel tone—you know, like this Zuhair Murad deep emerald green couture gown.
JULIA ROBERTS
Prediction: Julia will wear black. Wish: That the “August: Osage County” actress will surprise us all with the total opposite and select this shimmering embellished champagne gown from the Fall 2012 Haute Couture collection by Elie Saab.
KATE WINSLET
This dazzling embellished Jenny Packham gown would be a fabulous way for the “Labor Day” star to flatter her post-baby curves. I mean, how gorgeous is that ornate pattern and gleaming brooch at the waist?
FYI: Kate also wore a Packham design to the ceremony in 2012.
IDINA MENZEL
I’m thrilled that Idina’s song for Disney’s “Frozen” nabbed a nomination this year, so I was excited to include her on my list. This deep blue Monique Lhuillier gown with icy embellishments would be a great way for her to honor the night.
TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor surprised us all last year with her dramatic plum mermaid gown, and now I want to see her take another unexpected route. I don’t get to see the Golden Globe nominee wearing yellow on the red carpet nearly enough.
Dear Miss Swift, this Zuhair Murad beauty is calling your name.
ZOOEY DESCHANEL
She’s cute as a button and all about having fun with her style, so here’s hope that the “New Girl” star will select this ultra-beautiful violet layered gown from Oscar de la Renta. As a retro fashion devotee, I’m sure Zooey can appreciate the glamour throwback of the silhouette–and hello hot pink peek-a-boo lining!
LENA DUNHAM
I really want to see Lena in a dress that flatters her from start to finish and, considering she’s willing to get extra feminine on the red carpet, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she has considered this Jenny Packham creation.
I’d love it even more if she had it in custom navy.
EMMA STONE
A cool girl deserves a cool dress, and Emma’s one of the coolest gals in Hollywood. I love that she takes chances on the red carpet yet remains elegant–and I think this Elie Saab gown lives up to that. The cut is brilliant, and the surprised pop of colors against the black and white palette would have heads turning.
MELONIE DIAZ
Melonie’s warm complexion and dark hair would be complimented (and enhanced) with the beautiful marigold tone of this Reem Acra gown. The column cut would also flatter the petite figure of the “Fruitvale Station” star.
MILA KUNIS
I’ve missed seeing Mila on the red carpet, and I can’t think of a better dress to return to it than this Elie Saab Haute Couture number–besides, the “Blood Ties” actress always looks great in shades of blue and purple.
Remember, this is the collection that birthed *that dress* Elizabeth Banks wore last year.
REESE WITHERSPOON
The petite star (and her swanky new bob haircut) would look divine in this classic silhouette with a dazzling effect. I would love to see Reese glide down the red carpet in this Armani Privé stunner.
ZOE SALDANA
I’ve been hoping that the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star would wear this Prabal Gurung dress for awhile now. The detailing is stunning, and we all know Zoe’s all about that original presence on the red carpet.
